Church of the Good Shephard, Raleigh, NC

by David Haygood

Please join us for a U2Charist at The Church of the Good Shepherd at 5:00 pm on Sunday March 2, 2008 at 125 Hilsborough Street, Raleigh.

Also here is link to a Diocese newspaper there are two articles on page d-14 about recent U2charist in North Carolina.

The U2Charist is a Eucharist service featuring the music of the Irish band U2, who's lyrics are Biblically rich. U2 has fought for social justice for over three decades. The U2Charist is an opportunity to learn more about the Millennium Development Goals, which the Episcopal Church has adopted, and spread the word of this great effort.

The offering from this U2charist will be given to Bishop Curry to donate to our companion diocese in Bostwana. The offering will be used to support their efforts to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, reduce child mortality, improve education, and other development  efforts that are related to the eight MDG goals.

The message will be delivered by Rev. Greg Jones of Saint Michael's Episcopal Church.

We will start at 4:30 with music and a coffee house featuring free trade Bishops Blend Coffee. Please stay after the service for refreshments and fellowship.
